Focus on Two Important Organs to Balance Hormones!

Have you tried bioidentical hormone cream and you still feel out of balance? Do you have hot flashes? Fatigue? Indigestion? Mood swings? Weight gain? Chronic Candida? Constipation? Migraines?

Here’s the secret!  Although everyone is different biochemically, the above symptoms often have common organs involved – your liver and hypothalamus.  The liver is responsible for over 500 functions including purifying the body, processing toxins, aiding digestion through secretion of the bile, changing glucose into glycogen for energy and manufacturing good cholesterol. More importantly these liver functions relate to the hormone balance. Read on and find out why.

Three functions of your amazing liver!

First, the liver has two phases in which it processes toxins – all types of toxins including food additives, chemicals such as pesticides, car exhaust, benzenes in cleaning products, chlorine and fluorine in our water, chemicals in make-up and laundry detergents, heavy metals in mercury amalgam filings, etc. When the liver is overloaded women get hot flashes. According to acupuncturists, heat comes from the liver.

Secondly, the liver produces bile, which breaks down fats and prepares them for digestion. All of the blood leaving the stomach and intestines must pass through the liver. The liver also changes the glucose to glycogen and stores the glycogen for energy.

If your liver is overworked and toxic, you will lack vital energy.

Thirdly, the production of the HDL (High Density Lipid Proteins), the good cholesterol happens in the liver. Why is this important? Most steroid hormones are made from cholesterol. This includes: estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, DHEA, aldosterone. Wow! Bottom line is you NEED cholesterol!

Why does the liver produce excess cholesterol at times?

In response to stress or the natural aging process the hypothalamus commands the liver to produce extra cholesterol to deliver it to the adrenals and sex organs quickly. The worn out organs cannot use it all and then you have extra cholesterol floating in the blood stream. But don’t worry; your balanced body will take care of the excess cholesterol naturally. From this example, it is easy to conclude that handing stress and rebuilding the worn out glands might be a necessary first step. When I guide individuals in rebuilding and cleaning out these glands/organs using herbs, nutrition, homeopathy, our amazing biofeedback programs and trauma release techniques their life changes and happiness and balance returns.

By now you are probably wondering what role the hypothalamus plays.

The hypothalamus, like the liver, has many complex functions. One of the functions of the hypothalamus is to connect the nervous system to the endocrine system via the pituitary gland. It secretes hormones that either stimulate or inhibit the secretion of pituitary hormones. The hypothalamus controls hunger, thirst, body temperature, fatigue, and circadian cycles. It responds to many different signals which regulate the neuro-hormonal system, maternal behavior, olfactory stimuli and the steroid hormones.

The simple truth is that many hormones are precursors to other hormones.

For example progesterone builds cortisol and aldostrone, the important adrenal hormones which control water balance and how we metabolize. DHEA is made from the good cholesterol and is related to pregnanalone and also progesterone. According to Dr. Norman Shealy, the most abundant hormone in the body is DHEA and is directly related to health and longevity. Dr .Shealy has found that low levels of DHEA have been found in all imbalances including anxiety, auto-immune disorders, cancer, coronary heart disease, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and more. It is not recommended to take DHEA unless you are chronically depleted as in the case of Alzheimer’s. The precursors to DHEA are recommended. Give us a call and we can assist you.

What can you do to balance your hormones?

Of course everyone is biochemically unique and we need to test each person for the best choices, but here is a beginning list of possibilities:

  • Progesterone cream
  • Magnesium lotion
  • ChemX , Milk Thistle, or Alpha Lipoic Acid to detox the liver
  • Minerals, fish oil and probiotics- the basics
  • Colon cleansing, psyllium, ground flax seeds, etc.
  • Reduce inflammatory foods such as sugar, wheat, dairy and corn.
  • Life style changes to reduce the chemical load
  • Thyroid, adrenal and heavy metal chelators (garlic, chlorella, vitamin C )
  • SCIO-Indigo sessions to de-stress, balance hormones and balance stressors/pathogens
  • Sauna detoxification
  • Detoxing pathogens- Wormwood, Candicyn, Black Walnut Hull, cloves, PaudArco, Cats Claw tea,

A woman with low thyroid and hair falling out was diagnosed with skin cancer. We discussed the Papilloma virus which is related to cervical cancer and skin cancer (she had cervical cancer years earlier). After using one Hanna Kroeger Papilloma Kit, she is cancer free and feeling better. This was the underlying cause of many imbalances in her body for years! Yes!

Another woman with chronic constipation and hot flashes needed colon cleansing and milk thistle and a SCIO-Indigo session. Here is what she said:

“I can hardly believe how great I feel! I AM THE MOST BALANCED I HAVE BEEN IN YEARS! I have been to many doctors and spent tons of money and this really worked! Thank you!” ~ BW Albuquerque

A woman with digestion issues and chronic gas commented:

“I have been to the best hospital in Pennsylvania and their top doc said I needed to live with the intestinal gas.  After numerous doctors and embarrassing situation after another, it was two little nine dollar homeopathic remedies that did the trick.  I remember waking up the next morning with no gas for the first time in 27 years! Thank you and bless you.”  ~ SW Albuquerque
